Action plan for public use of Midtfjellet

Midtfjellet Vindkraft and local landowners have maintained a fruitful, close, constructive dialogue since the very beginning.

Fitjar fjellsameige (mountain landowners’ association) and the Municipality of Fitjar are currently working on an action plan for public use of Midtfjellet.

The road up towards Olstjødno has now been surfaced and is open to the public.

A lit ski-trail has now been established alongside the road between Olstjødno and Svartavatnet as a result of collaboration between Fitjar fjellsameige, Stord-Fitjar Turlag (local ramblers’ branch) and the Municipality of Fitjar.
