It’s important to us to be a positive team player
The number of people that use the area that the wind park covers is considerably greater than before the wind park was established. Excellent infrastructure in the area eases access for hiking, cycling, uphill racing, orienteering, ski trips, hunting, fishing, camping and much more for people of all ages.
Midtfjellet, is not just a popular area for these activities, however. The wind park is an exciting attraction in itself. Since commissioning, we have had around 17,000 visitors on guided tours for senior centres, kindergartens, universities, schools and other institutions, as well as businesses and politicians.
Since the start of operations, uphill racing and orienteering events and a half-marathon of national interest have all been held. In collaboration with other interested parties, Midtfjellet Wind has put a whole range of popular initiatives into action, making the area a favourite destination for family outings, gatherings in open tents, outdoor worship and much, much more.
